St. Louis BTA hosted Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson and Congressman Russ Carnahan for a Political Action Committee fundraiser on May 17 in the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis. STLBTA was given an update from Washington DC on current events relevant to their industry and community. The event helped raise funds to support advocacy for business travel.

Emerson, US Representative for Missouri’s 8th congressional district which consists of Southeast and South Central Missouri, has served since 1996. The eight-term representative is the first Republican woman to represent Missouri in Congress.

A lifelong Missourian, Carnahan took office in 2005, working to help families and businesses throughout the greater St. Louis region by supporting economic development.

STLBTA polo shirts and raffle tickets for gift baskets donated by hotel members were sold with the proceeds to be used to benefit the STLBTA.
